USB 2.0 + Parallel porteLive P-103N is an advanced printer server equipped with 2 USB 2.0/1.1 ports and a high speed bi-directional parallel ports. This combination means you can print out faster and more reliable than before. Furthermore, multi-protocol support that includes TCP/IP, SMB, NetBEUI, and AppleTalk protocols ensure compatibility with most Windows, Unix, and Macintosh-based platforms. Simple Installation WizardTraditionally, installing a print server is a somewhat complicated process. But OvisLink has made the installation of P-103N extremely simple. The CD's installation wizard guide you through the installation of your print server and printer drivers. Then, if you prefer to configure it without the wizard, the UPnP function makes the print server immediately visible on your computer's "My Network Neighbor". So you can point and click on it without the need to know the IP address settings. For Macintosh users, the print server even support the MAC OS Rendezvous Zero Configuration for simple installation.
Internet PrintingThe print server takes printer sharing one step further by offering remote Email and FTP printing. Therefore, you can send your text file through the Internet and the print server will print out the file remotely for you. Imagine this as the an alternative to FAX machine for delivering text message remotely without the need to turn your computer on.
Flexible ManagementThe print server offer several flexible ways for configuration. You can point-and-click using UPnP. But you can also use Web management and Telnet to configure the device. For network administrators, the SNMP MIB2 support allow configuration and monitoring using SNMP management software.
Access Control and Email notificationThe print server offer Access Control function not commonly found on other print servers. Administrator can control precisely which computer have the access right to which printer. This function is very important in the corporate environment where each department have its own printer group.
